■ Construction Content: This project is located in WHA Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate 4, Pluak Daeng District, Rayong Province, Thailand, covering an area of approximately 588 acres with a new construction area of 156,973.99 m2. The construction mainly consists of production departments, public utilities and environmental protection projects, auxiliary projects, and outdoor projects. The main production department facilities include five major process workshops: welding workshop, painting workshop, assembly workshop, engine assembly workshop, battery workshop, and appearance inspection workshop.

■ Project Schedule: Construction starts in November 2023

■ Project Design Concept

This project serves as Changan Automobile's Southeast Asia manufacturing base, fully leveraging the Changan Automobile brand and the Southeast Asian market to build a technologically advanced, green, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly modern automobile factory. The products will cover global right-hand drive markets such as ASEAN, Australia/New Zealand, the UK, South Africa, and left-hand drive markets within ASEAN.

■ Project Features

All sub-items in the factory area adopt BIM design for interference checks to minimize drawing issues and avoid material rework due to drawing problems.

This project includes the planning and design of all major production processes for new energy vehicle production. Some workshops use domestically innovative new processes that pursue advancement while also considering high cost-effectiveness through various means.

The public facilities in the factory area meet local requirements in Thailand through energy recovery and reuse, renewable energy use, and the application of advanced environmental protection technologies.

In workshops with contracted process equipment, when facing different product demands from the owner, it is necessary to integrate advanced processes and technologies to reflect high automation, high flexibility, and high-quality manufacturing levels. Additionally, it incorporates the 'smart' manufacturing concept to meet the customization and experiential requirements of modern factories.
