Shandong Automobile Penglai Branch Welding Assembly Line for Car Doors
The welding assembly line for car doors at Shandong Automobile Penglai Branch is fully contracted by the Ninth Mechanical Institute. This project started in 2020 and was completed and put into production in 2021, with a production line cycle time of 15 JPH. The car door line uses 7 robots and 1 hydraulic edge banding machine to achieve fully automated welding, gluing, and edge folding processes for two car doors, with a welding automation rate of 100%. The process plan of this project fully reflects the flexibility and intelligence of the welding assembly line, with robots operating dual and multi-station setups to maximize their performance and functionality, pushing their application to the extreme and achieving maximum efficiency, while also facilitating the integration of subsequent vehicle models.
The completion of the project has improved the manufacturing level of the welding workshop at Shandong Automobile Penglai Branch, and it also provides a reference for lean production models of small batch and multi-variety products in the future.
