Audi FAW New Energy Vehicle Project


The Audi FAW New Energy Vehicle project involves the overall civil engineering and the painting workshop production line equipment contracted by the Ninth Institute. This is Audi's first factory in China specifically for producing luxury electric vehicles based on the PPE platform, with a planned production rhythm of 30 JPH. The newly constructed civil engineering includes five major process workshops: stamping, welding, painting, assembly, and battery pack, as well as all civil engineering related to logistics and public utilities. The painting workshop production line equipment includes pre-treatment electrophoresis, adhesive application, spraying, and waxing sections, utilizing the latest 2010V technology from the Volkswagen Group. The pre-treatment electrophoresis section uses an intelligent flip conveyor developed by the Ninth Institute; the spraying section employs a dry paper box spray booth; the workshop lighting uses a DALI lighting system; and the waxing section utilizes waxing line technology independently developed by the Ninth Institute. Once completed, this project will not only be significant for the expansion of the Audi brand in the Chinese market but also serves as a comprehensive demonstration of the Ninth Institute's technological strength in the field of new energy vehicle manufacturing.
