EPC project for FAW Jiefang Qingdao assembly shop of relocation and renovation
The EPC project for the relocation and renovation of the assembly workshop of FAW Jiefang Qingdao Automobile Co., Ltd. is contracted by the Ninth Mechanical Institute. The production rhythm of the assembly workshop is 30 JPH, with an annual output of 100,000 medium and heavy trucks. This project started in 2012 and was completed and put into production in 2014. The total area of the final assembly workshop is 50,000 square meters, consisting of two pre-assembly lines for chassis, two chassis assembly lines, two final assembly lines, one interior trim assembly line, and two engine sub-assembly lines; the workshop also includes two complete chassis painting lines. The assembly workshop uses EMS to transport chassis, powertrains, axles, and cab major components; it employs roller conveyor lines for just-in-time delivery of tires.
In addition, the workshop is equipped with a robotic workstation for automatic gluing and bonding of front windshields; this ensures adhesive quality and significantly improves the sealing of the cab. At the end of the final assembly line, there are two sets of three-in-one on-the-go refueling systems that can automatically select refueling programs based on vehicle models, effectively preventing misfuelling and leakage during the refueling process; this enhances the overall vehicle quality level.
The final assembly workshop extensively utilizes a comprehensive intelligent central control system, including an automatic body tracking system, Anton system, production process indication system, and other subsystems. The completion and operation of this project have helped FAW Jiefang Qingdao Automobile Co., Ltd. achieve an industry-leading overall production level, greatly enhancing FAW Jiefang's influence in the domestic heavy truck industry.
