11Month23Day, hosted by the Changchun Automobile Development Zone Federation of Trade Unions, the “2024Annual Forklift and Welding Skills Competition in the Automobile Development Zone” was grandly opened at the mechanical workshop of Lande Company, with Zhang Li, Executive Vice Chairman of the Changchun Automobile Development Zone Federation of Trade Unions, attending the event. Zhang Kuiqi, General Manager of Lande Company, delivered the opening speech on site, and Wu Haifeng, Vice Chairman of the Mechanical Ninth Institute Union, along with relevant leaders from Changchun Automobile Vocational Technical University, participated in the opening ceremony.
This skills competition received positive responses from many industrial enterprises in the Automobile Development Zone. The competition is divided into two events: forklift competition and welding competition, attracting a total of43forklift operators and27welders to register for the competition. The forklift competition adopts a practical assessment format and is divided into three competition units: “Lean'Ball'Precision”, “Accurate Shooting”, and “Standard Pallet Handling Operation”. The contestants demonstrated exceptional skills and completed a series of high-difficulty actions with “speed, accuracy, and stability”, presenting a visual feast of forklift skills; the welding competition consists of theoretical testing and practical competition, assessing contestants' basic skills in setting welding machine parameters before welding and inspecting workpieces. Contestants skillfully completed welding tasks according to specified welding methods.
The competition specially invited experienced professional teachers from Changchun Automobile Vocational Technical University to serve as judges, scoring each contestant's performance to ensure fairness, justice, and openness in this competition. After a day of intense competition, all contestants successfully completed their tasks in both forklift and welding competitions. Contestants from Lande Company were fully focused and raced against time, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and dedication, winning first and third places in the forklift competition and all top three places in the welding competition.
This competition provided a platform for skilled talents from brother enterprises in the Automobile Development Zone to showcase themselves and exchange learning. Through the form of “large-scale training”, it stimulated employees' willingness to learn skills and their fighting spirit, cultivating a large number of production operation talents with strong quality, skills, and work ethic. The Mechanical Ninth Institute Union will take this competition as an opportunity to create a good atmosphere for rapidly enhancing talent skills, laying a solid foundation for continuously upgrading the quality of equipment manufacturing at the Mechanical Ninth Institute.
