In the hot month of July, good news keeps coming. On July 20, our institute received the bid notification for the contract of the Audi B-class vehicle technology transformation project "Body Assembly Station (Mechanical Equipment)" from FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. This is our institute's first contract for a body three-dimensional warehouse with internationally leading technology and process levels.
The Audi B-class vehicle technology transformation project plans to utilize the existing buildings, equipment, and public facilities of the first car factory, transforming the stamping and welding workshops. It will add 13.4 hectares of land, construct a new assembly workshop No. 3, a test track, an Audi body warehouse, connecting corridors, a joint power station building, and a medium supply station, with a total new construction area of 119,746 square meters and an addition of 5,683 sets of equipment. While maintaining existing production capacity and labor staffing, it aims to achieve an annual production capacity of 175,000 vehicles in assembly workshop No. 3.
FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. has a close cooperation with our institute in design, engineering management, and contracting, making it a strategic partner for our long-term development. Over the years, through the successful implementation of projects, we have fully demonstrated our technical strength, management level, cost advantages, and service advantages, gaining high trust from the owner. Our institute has continuously broken the monopoly of foreign engineering companies in new technology fields, achieving technological breakthroughs such as liftable large sliding plates and body three-dimensional warehouses. The Volkswagen body assembly station is a domestically leading body three-dimensional warehouse that not only requires stable project operation but also demands that the project's appearance quality reaches first-class standards; even the steel structure itself must undergo pickling and phosphating processes before being used in the project.
The winning project was planned and organized for bidding by the Business Development Department of our institute, while the Equipment Engineering Division was responsible for the technical plan and engineering quotation. After nearly 40 days of united, tense, and efficient work, our institute's targeted technical plan, reasonable pricing, serious attitude, and responsible spirit were recognized by the owner. Ultimately, we stood out among five domestic and foreign peers and successfully won this project.
The winning of this project has broken through our institute's contracting achievements in body three-dimensional warehouses, deepening cooperation with Volkswagen and increasing our experience accumulation in such projects. It has opened up a new situation for our institute to continuously expand into high-end markets and extend high value-added businesses.
