The Ninth Institute won the bid for the FAW-Volkswagen Foshan Phase II project 'BA1+2, BA5+6, BA7 mechanization part'.

[Zhang Xing reported] On July 17, our institute received the official bid notification for the "BA1+2, BA5+6, BA7 mechanized parts" of the final assembly workshop for the Phase II project of FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. in Foshan. This is the first time our institute has contracted a liftable sliding board line with internationally leading standards.
This project is planned and organized by the Business Development Department of the institute, while the Equipment Engineering Division is responsible for the technical solutions and project quotations. During the bidding period, the institute's leadership provided careful guidance multiple times, and the team worked together to overcome all difficulties. After more than a month of effort, we ultimately emerged victorious in fierce competition with three well-known domestic and international suppliers!
According to the plan, the total investment for the Foshan Phase II project is approximately 15.3 billion yuan, with a construction period of 36 months. Once completed, it will have an annual production capacity of 300,000 complete vehicles, producing the latest products on the MQB platform for Volkswagen and Audi brands. The Phase II project will replicate the advanced processes of Phase I to achieve fully automated production. The control system in this project will also apply contactless power supply and communication technologies such as waveguide and leakage wave for the first time, and the electrical control hardware and software configuration will be comprehensively upgraded.
The awarded project includes most of the main production lines in the final assembly workshop, fully demonstrating our institute's equipment technology strength. It fills a gap in our institute's contracting of liftable large sliding board lines and is of great significance for expanding into high-end technology markets. Currently, the project is progressing in a tense and orderly manner. The project team will adhere to the core concept of 'taking user needs as our own responsibility and creating competitiveness for users,' carefully designing services to deliver a satisfactory answer to users.
