Recently, the Project Management Department of the Architectural Engineering Institute of the Mechanical Ninth Academy was awarded the honor of 'Worker Pioneer' in Changchun City for its outstanding contributions to major projects such as the FAW Hongqi Prosperity Factory and Audi FAW New Energy Vehicles.“Worker Pioneer”honor.

In recent years, under the strong leadership of the company, the Project Management Department of the Architectural Engineering Institute has taken the lead in general contracting business, undertaking engineering general contracting, project management, and engineering supervision for new construction, expansion, and renovation projects, forging an elite team and creating high-quality projects.

The Project Management Department currently has more than147employees, among which senior engineers and various registered engineers account for over30%.The project footprints are spread across the country, mainly in Changchun, Tianjin, Beijing, Shanghai, Ningbo, Foshan, Chengdu, and other places. The clients served include not only FAW Group but also many enterprises such as Tesla, King Long Automobile, Great Wall Motors, and Geely.2020In the year since the start of the Changchun Automotive Development Zone Prosperity Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park project, the project team has overcome numerous difficulties such as typhoons, freezing rain, and pandemics. Facing challenges from overlapping civil construction and equipment installation work, they worked together with determination and completed the factory construction in just14.5months, creating a miracle of engineering with7410,000 square meters from scratch, refreshing the speed of the Ninth Academy.2022In the year, there were a total of20general contracting projects managed throughout the year with a total contract amount of46billion yuan and total contract payments completed amounting to26billion yuan. Among them, in the Audi FAW New Energy Vehicle project, since its commencement, the project team has continuously refreshed construction speed; within just26days they completed the overall lifting of Unit One of the assembly workshop; it took43days to complete all foundation beam construction in the factory area; it took over a hundred days to complete the main works of various workshops in the factory area; and within five months they completed warm closure ahead of schedule. Additionally, key projects such as the Ulsan Factory Equipment Capability Enhancement Project and Changchun International Automobile City Creative Automotive R&D Industrial Park have organized on-site teams to work overtime continuously. During the pandemic period, they promptly initiated closed-loop management and resolutely executed according to schedule to ensure project timelines and quality, laying a solid foundation for creating high-quality projects.

In recent years, the Project Management Department has been fully promotingBIMconstruction technology, mainly including oblique photography and three-dimensional laser scanning technology.BIMThe application of technical measurement in various project constructions integrates model data from each project and greatly improves project management capabilities and communication efficiency. Based on the measurement accuracy, efficiency, applicable working environment, and other technical characteristics of these two new surveying technologies, the Project Management Department implements laser three-dimensional scanning measurement technology“(mainly internal)”, oblique photography measurement“(mainly external)”'s application plan to transform extensive construction management models into three-dimensional, informationalized, and collaborative approaches. This enhances digitalization and intelligence levels in project management and supports the development of general contracting business for the company.

The engineering party branch where the Project Management Department is located has further enhanced its work vitality through a series of co-construction activities. It has comprehensively improved grassroots party organization management levels while playing a core role for party members by strengthening communication and cooperation to continuously enhance overall project management levels.2022年3, in March of this year when a large-scale outbreak of COVID-19 occurred in Changchun City, general contracting project construction sites faced unprecedented challenges. Party members at each project site played a leading role by applying to stay on-site for day-and-night duty to undertake epidemic prevention work. They practiced their vows as party members through action and interpreted their responsibilities and commitments through silent dedication.
