Recently, the Mechanical Ninth Academy successfully won the bid for the preliminary design of the Foshan Xianhu Laboratory Infrastructure Construction Project (Phase II). This project is the first hydrogen-ammonia fusion new energy vehicle power technology research and development center project in China, including multiple construction units such as a composite power vehicle testing laboratory, a multi-cylinder common rail fuel cell engine testing laboratory, an ammonia-hydrogen fusion zero-carbon internal combustion engine testing laboratory, a fuel reforming testing laboratory, a hydrogen fuel vehicle performance testing laboratory, and a prototype workshop.

The research and development testing standards involved in this project are high, and the high danger of hydrogen-ammonia fuel presents many technical challenges in testing process standards and engineering design that need to be tackled, with no reference cases available in the country. During the bidding process, company leaders provided strong support to the project team, while the business center and main design office closely coordinated with users in the early stages and tracked the bidding process.
