On November 23, 2021, the first batch of 3 production verification vehicles successfully rolled off the assembly line at the Jinlong large and medium passenger vehicle painting workshop, marking the entry of the largest and most automated bus production line in China, built by the Ninth Institute, into the stage of mass production preparation.
The project includes the large and medium passenger vehicle painting workshop, post-welding workshop, and touch-up workshop, carrying the production tasks of over 100 types of large and medium-sized buses ranging from 8 to 13.7 meters in length for Jinlong Group, with an annual output of 15,000 vehicles per shift. Adhering to the design concepts of energy conservation, environmental protection, flexibility, and automation, advanced equipment such as VOC environmental protection devices, air conditioning air recycling, rapid color change systems, centralized dust removal, automatic ash blowing devices, and robots are used in the workshop; the conveying system is deeply integrated with RFID to achieve fully automated transportation of all bus bodies; the central control system provides unified status monitoring and energy consumption management for equipment in various workshops of the base.
With strong support from the leadership of the Ninth Institute, the project team overcame many adverse factors such as the severe COVID-19 pandemic, cross-construction of process equipment and civil engineering, and extremely hot weather above 40 degrees in summer, achieving phased results. The project team of the Ninth Institute's large and medium passenger vehicle painting project will continue to work hard to complete the remaining debugging and rectification tasks to bring the project to a perfect conclusion.
