In early summer May, with the swallows flying and the willows dancing, the weather is pleasant. On May 31, just before the 'June 1' Children's Day, Dong Jinghua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of the Mechanical Ninth Institute, along with Wu Haifeng, Secretary of the Joint Party Branch and Director of the Two Offices, visited the Jilin Province Orphan School to see the orphaned children, offering them love and holiday blessings.
According to the work plan of the Joint Party Branch, a three-year love assistance plan was established in advance to pair with Class 3 of Grade 7 at Jilin Province Orphan School. After soliciting opinions from the children, it was learned that they urgently needed class uniforms, water bottles, and notebooks. The Joint Party Branch raised funds through donations within the branch to purchase these necessary items for the children. During the donation ceremony, Wu Haifeng, Secretary of the Joint Party Branch, represented the branch in donating items to the children and signed a pairing cooperation agreement with the school, officially launching a series of assistance activities. In the future, more members of the Joint Party Branch will engage with orphaned groups through a series of 'Big Hand Holding Small Hand' activities to convey warmth and love, supporting orphans' healthy growth.
Accompanied by Vice Principals Liu Yongshuang and Wang Weidong, Dong and his team participated in the school's flag-raising ceremony, toured the campus sports facilities, middle school dormitory building, elementary school dormitory building, and teaching building, admired various beautiful and exquisite handicrafts made by the children, and learned about their growth environment, learning conditions, and further needs.
Finally, Dong and his team visited Class 3 of Grade 7 to see the children who were on break and wished them a happy Children's Day and Dragon Boat Festival. In her speech, she highly praised the independent abilities that the children have developed under careful nurturing at school, encouraged them to cherish their happy lives today, study diligently, strive to become useful talents for society to realize their dreams, and expressed hope that they would join the Ninth Institute in the future.
The Mechanical Ninth Institute successfully transformed into a mixed-ownership enterprise in 2020 by a wholly-owned subsidiary of FAW Group. In the future, the company will strengthen its efforts to give back to society and take on social responsibilities by providing long-term assistance to children at Jilin Province Orphan School through building sports facilities and establishing special scholarships, practicing social responsibility and demonstrating corporate commitment.
