On May 28, at the 2021 Alibaba Cloud Summit, Alibaba Cloud and the Ninth Institute of Mechanical Industry jointly released the "Automotive Digital Factory 1.0" industry solution.
"The first complete case application is currently being vigorously carried out at the FAW Hongqi New Energy Factory." Liu Shixin, General Manager of the Ninth Institute of Mechanical Industry, stated at the conference, "The years of industry business capabilities accumulated by the Ninth Institute, combined with Alibaba Cloud's data technology capabilities, will provide automotive industry clients with a brand new 'digital factory', assisting in the digital transformation of China's manufacturing industry."

Established in 1958, it has focused on automotive factory construction for 63 years, providing comprehensive solutions for automotive engineering. The company is currently actively undergoing digital transformation, dedicated to providing comprehensive services for automotive industry clients in building digital factories."
In 2020, the Ninth Institute of Mechanical Industry reached a strategic cooperation with Alibaba Cloud and established a dedicated team responsible for the digitalization of automotive factories. Liu Shixin introduced that after nearly a year of cooperation, they jointly created solutions and products, forming a complete 'digital factory' solution and product for the automotive industry.
The production process in automotive factories generates massive amounts of data. How to collect this data and process and apply it to realize its value is the direction both parties are working towards. It is reported that Alibaba Cloud and the Ninth Institute of Mechanical Industry have independently developed data collection platforms, data middle platforms, AI platforms, and DTwin platforms that can build a real-time digital twin factory through low-code 'drag-and-drop' methods and quickly develop intelligent applications to achieve quality prediction, predictive maintenance of equipment, and intelligent energy management.
The FAW Hongqi New Energy Factory will apply the complete solution of 'Automotive Digital Factory 1.0'. Currently, Alibaba Cloud and the Ninth Institute of Mechanical Industry have completed relevant development work and are about to carry out on-site deployment and debugging. "Alibaba Cloud's cooperation with the Ninth Institute of Mechanical Industry deeply engages with the automotive industry to quickly launch 'digital factory' solutions, with data intelligence being key," said Xu Shijun, General Manager of Alibaba Cloud's Intelligent Government and Enterprise Industry Division. "In the future, factory data will realize its maximum value, providing more analysis and decision support for production operations, not only reducing costs and increasing efficiency but also improving product quality."
