[Cui Zhaojun reports] On July 15, at the paint line exit of the body painting workshop of FAW Jiefang Qingdao Automobile Co., Ltd., a brightly colored and smooth-painted vehicle slowly rolled off the production line amidst the eager anticipation of many personnel! This moment marks the successful completion of a 100-day intensive effort by the total contracting team of the Ninth Institute and the achievement of the goals set by the institute's leadership in early April.
Prior to this, there had already been good news from the Qingdao site. In the plastic parts painting workshop, continuous production of market products with a daily output of 30 sets per shift has been achieved in recent days; in the chassis painting workshop, the first batch of qualified chassis successfully rolled off the line three days ago; in mid-June, the final assembly workshop smoothly completed the trial assembly of the first complete vehicle; at the beginning of June, the debugging and trial production in the riveting and welding workshop were completed ahead of schedule. During this period of achievements, civil engineering and public works management were also being carried out vigorously, with road construction, pipeline networks, station buildings, and foundational work progressing quietly and orderly, greatly supporting the debugging and production efforts ahead. Reflecting on early April, when President Tian Wenbiao and Minister Zheng Wandong arrived on site to understand and implement tasks based on the institute's work deployment, it was a completely different scene. The situation at that time was particularly severe. Due to local environmental protection departments implementing new national control policies, significant changes were made to the originally planned debugging schedule, requiring modifications to water-based paint and additional waste gas treatment systems on already completed production lines. Even more urgent was that the construction and debugging period given by the owner totaled only a short 100 days. What to do? President Tian urgently convened a planning coordination meeting with all management teams to sort out work content, formulate measures for catching up on progress, and initiated a mobilization campaign titled 'A Hundred Days of Hard Work to Complete Projects on Time.' He called on all management teams to carry forward the spirit of overcoming difficulties and to formulate specific measures to implement a high-intensity work schedule from 8 AM to 7 PM every day for seven days a week before July 15. In response, all colleagues on site actively participated with high spirits in this smoke-free battle to create miracles.
To ensure effective coordination among teams and good communication with the owner, the institute specifically assigned President Mu Xuefeng to command on-site operations, where he stayed for more than two months. During this period, he worked closely with various project teams to coordinate and solve numerous urgent and difficult problems. Every day, one could see him running around drenched in sweat. During this time, leaders such as President Liu Songping, Secretary Wang Bing, Yang Yumin, Liu Shixin, Song Zhiyong, and Li Yunsheng also visited the site multiple times to guide work and highly commend everyone's hard work, greatly boosting morale.
The achievements are a result of each colleague's hard work and are a splendid chapter written by everyone's unity and selfless dedication. We have reason to believe that such a capable steel army will create more miracles in future work and ultimately continue to strive hard without failing its mission, successfully completing all subsequent goals.
