The Changchun Automobile Economic Development Zone Prosperity Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park project has received a three-star green building design label.

Recently, the Changchun Automobile Development Zone Prosperity Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park project, contracted by the Ninth Mechanical Institute, successfully passed the evaluation by the Jilin Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development after material preliminary review, professional evaluation, comprehensive review by the expert committee, and project public announcement procedures. It received the three-star green building design label certificate for industrial buildings.
As a project that has received the highest evaluation for green building design, the Changchun Automobile Development Zone Prosperity Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park project has attracted much attention since its commencement in 2020. The project covers a total area of 755,000 square meters, with a total construction area of 435,000 square meters and a total investment of 8 billion yuan. Once completed, it will achieve an annual production capacity target of 200,000 Hongqi new energy passenger vehicles and is a key project to promote the new Hongqi development strategy.
In order to implement the "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Green Buildings in China" issued by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, with the support and guidance of the Jilin Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Changchun Changfa New Energy Industry Investment Construction Co., Ltd., China First Automobile Group Co., Ltd., and the Ninth Design and Research Institute of Machinery Industry are executing green building requirements. They fully embody green building concepts in wastewater, waste gas, waste treatment, and energy-saving equipment selection, working together to build the Changchun Automobile Development Zone Prosperity Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park into a first-class green, ecological, low-carbon automobile factory in China.
The project integrated green building concepts during the planning and design phase and extended them to green construction, green production, and green operation maintenance throughout the design, construction, manufacturing, and operation processes: for example, converting electrical energy into thermal energy through screw machines and centrifuges; recovering waste heat to heat tap water for showers via heat exchangers to meet 100% of shower heating needs; utilizing parking lot construction for 20MW photovoltaic power generation to provide over 20 million kWh of electricity annually, saving coal and other non-renewable energy consumption while reducing carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide emissions; treating painting production wastewater using a two-stage reverse osmosis process for boiler and air conditioning humidification water supply as well as pre-treatment electrocoating line water supply; concentrating high-concentration and high-temperature waste solvents through KPR+RTO waste gas treatment devices to achieve clean emissions. These measures lay a foundation for creating an energy-saving, low-consumption, clean, environmentally friendly, and economically friendly automobile manufacturing factory.
The project is planned to be put into production in December 2021. The Hongqi factory built according to three-star green building design standards will continue to implement green clean production measures during its operational phase to reduce operating costs, achieve true sustainable development, reflect the green building concepts of safety durability, health comfort, resource conservation, and environmental comfort, and apply for three-star green building operation labels after being put into use.
