On the afternoon of April 13, Mu Xuefeng, the deputy general manager of the Ninth Institute, and his team visited the welding and painting general contracting site of Shandong Automobile Penglai Branch for work guidance. They had in-depth discussions with the owner regarding the safety, quality, and progress of the ongoing construction and debugging of the Phase II general contracting project for welding and painting. They recognized the installation progress and quality of the automatic line project for welding car door assemblies and affirmed the completion of the water-based paint technical transformation project for Phase II painting. They also provided guiding opinions for the project's next steps.

During the progress of the car door assembly welding automatic line general contracting project, the team overcame adverse situations such as supply chain disruptions due to the pandemic and delays in debugging parts. Under the coordination and guidance of leaders from various departments within the company, they organized and arranged the progress of each sub-project and actively communicated and negotiated with suppliers to ensure that the project advanced in an orderly and high-quality manner according to planned milestones. Currently, the installation of peripheral equipment such as robots, welding fixtures, glue application systems, and steel structures has been basically completed, and they are in the process of installing the hydraulic press for car door edging.

The Phase II water-based paint technical transformation project is a conversion from the original solvent-based painting process to a water-based painting process, while also adding robotic automatic spraying to replace manual spraying. This project not only responds to national environmental protection emission requirements but also improves the quality of paint film on vehicle surfaces, enhancing product market competitiveness. The significant challenge of this project lies in ensuring normal production in the workshop while construction is ongoing. To address this, team members refined and optimized construction plans, identifying conflicts between construction and production activities, and scheduling corresponding transformation work during downtime. The construction team entered the factory before National Day, utilizing holidays such as National Day and workshop adjustments to carry out construction, minimizing impacts from overlapping production and construction. During the debugging phase, considering the owner's desire to put the clear coat robot into use as soon as possible without affecting daytime production tasks, team members worked with the robot manufacturer during night shifts for debugging. They completed debugging for all production models in just ten days, with the clear coat robot entering trial production on March 30 ahead of schedule. Mu led team members to witness the offline ceremony for the 1168th qualified painted clear coat body two weeks into trial production.

Mu also had in-depth discussions with leaders from Shandong Automobile Laiyang Headquarters. The user introduced Shandong Automobile's product positioning and future corporate development blueprint, hoping that the Ninth Institute could intervene early to provide better suggestions for Shandong Automobile's development. Mu expressed that the Ninth Institute would do its utmost to provide high-quality, comprehensive support for Shandong Automobile's development. Both parties expressed a strong willingness to deepen cooperation further, laying a solid foundation for better service to Shandong Automobile.
