During the Spring Festival, our company received the first bid notification for the Year of the Ox in the lunar calendar, successfully undertaking the general contracting project for non-standard production equipment at the Shagamu Automobile Manufacturing Plant of Li Group in Ogun State, Nigeria, achieving a new breakthrough in the overseas market. This project involves a complete turnkey process including design, procurement, manufacturing, installation, debugging, and delivery related to overseas transportation and customs clearance, which will continue to accumulate valuable experience for the Ninth Institute in undertaking overseas projects and is of great significance.
The factory plans to produce 3,500 medium and heavy trucks annually, with construction content including painting and assembly production lines. In 2017, the Ninth Institute undertook the construction drawing design for Li Group's Shagamu Automobile Manufacturing Plant in Ogun State, Nigeria. The design team overcame regional and communication difficulties to complete the design tasks with high quality and efficiency, gaining the trust of the client. Subsequently, the Ninth Institute organized elite professionals from various specialties in the equipment engineering department to participate in the bidding for the general contracting of non-standard production equipment for this project. Through full cooperation, the client praised the Ninth Institute's technical capabilities and service attitude. In October 2018, the Ninth Institute submitted its bidding documents. However, due to changes in local conditions in Nigeria, the client changed the site, requiring adjustments to both technical plans and quotations. The project team of the Ninth Institute responded quickly and formulated adjustment plans. Just as the project was about to be finalized, an unexpected pandemic caused further delays. The technical and business teams of the Ninth Institute did not lose heart; they continued to communicate with the client and assisted in mitigating various risks and issues brought about by the pandemic. Hard work pays off; in February 2021, the Ninth Institute finally received this significant bid notification.
The company's 14th Five-Year Plan strategic framework has clarified goals and directions for developing overseas markets. Although the exploration of overseas markets is arduous and winding, as long as people from the Ninth Institute remain calm and determined to work hard, they will surely open up a new world overseas!
