This is not just a slogan, but a practical action taken by the Ninth Institute in the waste gas treatment at FAW Jiefang Qingdao Automobile Co., Ltd.
In 2017, Shandong Province began implementing the 'Volatile Organic Compound Emission Standards for the Automotive Manufacturing Industry (DB37)', significantly reducing the maximum allowable emission concentration limit for automotive coating production lines from 120 mg/m3 to 30 mg/m3. In 2019, the Qingdao Ecological Environment Bureau issued a notice on 'Doing a Good Job in the Construction and Operation of Continuous Monitoring Systems for Volatile Organic Compounds from Fixed Pollution Sources', implementing 24-hour continuous monitoring of waste gas emissions from key enterprises. What can the Ninth Institute do to help customers win the battle for blue skies?
To help customers meet new environmental protection requirements, the Ninth Institute provided a complete set of solutions and dispatched a waste gas treatment team led by project manager Zang Baohai to implement this project, upgrading and transforming the existing waste gas treatment equipment. After installation and debugging, it successfully met the environmental protection requirements of Shandong Province and Qingdao City in 2019. In 2020, the Ninth Institute's waste gas treatment team replaced rotary wheel parts and upgraded the filtration system, achieving waste gas emission concentrations below 10 mg/m3. The waste gas treatment equipment in the plastic parts workshop even achieved self-heating operation of the RTO system, expected to save over 7 million yuan in energy costs annually. These achievements not only met FAW Group's environmental inspection requirements for Qingqi Factory by the end of September 2020 but also ensured that Qingqi Factory successfully passed Shandong Province's performance rating as a Class B enterprise for key industries during heavy pollution weather in 2020. The Ninth Institute's waste gas treatment renovation project team received recognition and written commendation from Qingqi Factory for two consecutive years in 2019 and 2020.
