[Xia Nan reported] In order to actively respond to the group's "FAW People's Dream Story" competition and the activity of "Telling the Advanced Deeds of Communist Party Members Around Us," on the afternoon of May 15, the Party Committee of the Ninth Institute, the Trade Union of the Ninth Institute, and the Rainbow Cultural Club of the Ninth Institute jointly held a speech meeting titled "Telling Our Own Stories" in the conference room on the fifth floor. Nine contestants selected from five units of the Ninth Institute shared touching stories about eight outstanding individuals and one advanced collective. Liu Songping, the president of the Ninth Institute, Wang Bing, the Party Secretary, Song Zhiyong, the chairman of the Rainbow Cultural Club, as well as some senior managers, branch union chairpersons, and over 80 literature and art enthusiasts from the Ninth Institute attended the meeting.
The protagonists of this speech meeting were recommended by various grassroots party branches and grassroots trade unions and confirmed by the institute's Party Committee. To better summarize their deeds, each unit sent people close to them to interview and write about their stories, with professional guidance and support from the Rainbow Cultural Club, enabling this activity to be quickly implemented. Among them, five contestants participated in the group company's speech competition, and Xia Nan achieved a commendable fifth place in the group company. In this speech meeting, Yue Hongfu, Xie Yuheng, Li Yang, Jiang Fan, Dong Yunhong, Xia Nan, Hao Zhiqiang, Peng Chunlei, and Qi Yueyi shared stories about Li Xiaoming, the Coating Process Room, Ye Fa Hall, Zhang Haiwei, Li Junyan, Gao Xianhai, Wang Xin, Huang Libin, and Li Shengfeng. Each story received warm applause at the end of their presentations.
At this meeting, Song Zhiyong, chairman of the Rainbow Cultural Club of the Ninth Institute, announced the official establishment of the "Literature · Performance · Hosting" Association of the Ninth Institute and introduced its main leadership members: President Liu Ying, Secretary Xu Xinmeng, Vice Presidents Wang Zhiqiang, Sang Yunmeng, Wang Yang, Sui Genlian, Yue Hongfu, Li Xiang, He Xiaoqing. The art enthusiasts from the Rainbow Cultural Club presented opening performances including "Dragon Literature," an Indian dance performance, and a chorus of "On the Sunny Road," which were warmly welcomed by employees.
Wang Bing, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ninth Institute, pointed out in his speech that this presentation interpreted the traditional spirit of people from the Ninth Institute through stories about people around them. It was heartfelt and emotionally expressive, leaving a deep impression. He urged all departments to learn from advanced models and strive for excellence in their positions; to continue to explore and organize outstanding deeds from the Ninth Institute for widespread promotion; to continuously promote excellent corporate culture; and to deeply carry out activities that set examples and establish images. He called on party members and employees to set improvement goals in order to strive for building a first-class automobile factory.
