Stay focused on the goal and tackle difficulties to create a new chapter. With the attention and support of leaders at all levels of the company and the full support of all departments, all members of the project team have persevered and fought hard. After 14 days of construction and debugging during the eleven double holidays and 20 days of production verification on the production line, the fourth phase of the technical transformation project for the Hongqi H platform assembly workshop has been successfully completed.
The technical transformation project for the Hongqi H platform assembly workshop is a comprehensive EPC general contracting project undertaken by our company in 2019. In order to align with the production plan of the Hongqi factory and the launch plans for new models such as H9 and E115, the project has been implemented in parallel from January 2020 to the end of October without affecting the normal production of the Hongqi factory. The project is divided into four phases according to the production stoppage transformation stage, utilizing the Spring Festival, May Day, factory anniversary, and National Day holidays to complete the transformation work.
Through year-round plan changes and optimizations, tight construction preparations, and difficult construction in parallel with production, we expanded the original 18,000 square meters assembly workshop with an annual output of 30,000 units to a flexible and intelligent workshop of 49,000 square meters with an annual capacity of 100,000 units by utilizing every brief window period for transformation. This project employs several advanced domestic process technologies, among which the large-scale application of AGV as a conveying device on the assembly line is a domestic first. It is also the world's highest cadence AGV assembly conveyor line, bringing many advantages such as arbitrary adjustment of line length and operating height due to its excellent flexibility. However, its operational logic and scheduling control present significant challenges for the project team. Additionally, the automatic assembly of chassis for multiple models in this workshop imposes strict requirements on pallet passability. To save investment and workshop area, this project innovatively adopts interchangeable support point pallets and automatic insertion/removal technology.
During the implementation of the project, company leaders and representatives from three major institutes visited the site multiple times for inspection and guidance. The technical center ensured quality control from planning to on-site construction with strict process management, while the business center coordinated internal resources to fully support project advancement. With support from leaders at all levels and full backing from all departments, under Project Manager Minister Yang Yaoyong and Site Manager Ma Chuanhao's leadership, the project team united to overcome difficulties and successfully completed all four phases of transformation work, providing strong support for Hongqi's overall goal of achieving 200,000 in production and sales this year.
