On April 22, the launch meeting for the joint construction activity of the "Infrastructure White Paper Project" between the Party General Branch of the Architectural Engineering Institute of the Ninth Academy and the Party Branch of the Infrastructure Management Department of FAW-Volkswagen's Planning Department was held at the Architectural Engineering Institute of the Ninth Academy. Participants included Yang Yumin, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of the Ninth Academy, Wang Yige, Secretary of the Party General Branch and Dean of the Architectural Engineering Institute, Zhang Kai, Secretary and Minister of the Party Branch of FAW-Volkswagen's Planning Infrastructure Management Department, and representatives from both parties.
"Infrastructure White Paper Project" is a key cooperation project this year between the Architectural Engineering Institute of the Ninth Academy and FAW-Volkswagen's Planning Department. It aims to summarize years of cooperation and project experience between FAW-Volkswagen and the Ninth Academy, integrating changes in new laws and regulations, new technologies, new materials, user demands, etc., to form a unified technical standard for FAW-Volkswagen's infrastructure projects, which is expected to be released and implemented in December 2020. After consultation, both parties have launched a special joint construction activity to leverage the fortress role of the party branch and the vanguard role of party members, using the cohesion and execution power of the party organization to strongly promote deeper integration and communication between both parties.
During the event, the Architectural Engineering Institute of the Ninth Academy provided a detailed report on the Infrastructure White Paper Project, design change control, and NDC project on-site service plans. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on quality, responsibility, execution, data, document sharing, communication on new technologies and products, and BIM cooperation. Secretary Wang Yige and Secretary Zhang Kai signed a joint construction agreement and authorization letter on-site. Deputy General Manager Yang Yumin solemnly presented flags to both party leaders and put forward clear requirements and suggestions: first, after standard formulation, clarify responsible persons for each link to ensure proper implementation; second, strengthen identification, early warning, and prevention of project risks, adopting effective measures to cope with uncontrollable factors to ensure smooth project completion; third, strictly separate design institute changes from owner changes to ensure that design institute change control objectives are met; fourth, the "Infrastructure White Paper Project" is very beneficial for unifying FAW-Volkswagen standards and standardizing behavior, management, and assessment. It is suggested that further cooperation be carried out on more projects in the future to establish a special Volkswagen team to accumulate experience, improve quality, reduce costs, and support Volkswagen's construction. Secretary Zhang Kai clarified the main significance of FAW-Volkswagen compiling the Infrastructure White Paper at the meeting, put forward clear requirements for both parties' joint construction activities, and expressed gratitude for the support from the Ninth Academy over the years. At a time when FAW-Volkswagen is facing new developments, he hopes to continue working hand in hand with the Ninth Academy for multi-faceted cooperation to ensure quality and reduce costs while leveraging party building efforts to bravely venture into deep waters and contribute wisdom and strength to mutual development.
The launch meeting for this joint construction activity clarified project goals, work content, division of responsibilities, and timelines, laying a good foundation for subsequent work. Both parties expressed confidence in completing tasks on time under the leadership of the party organization.
