The groundbreaking ceremony for the Hongqi New Energy Vehicle Factory project was grandly held!

On April 15, the concentrated commencement ceremony of the "Three Early" project in Jilin Province was grandly held in the Changchun Economic and Technological Development Zone. The construction project of the Hongqi New Energy Vehicle Factory, contracted by the Ninth Academy, also commenced and served as the main venue for the provincial "Three Early" activities! The commencement ceremony received high attention from the Jilin Provincial Party Committee, Changchun Municipal Party Committee, and FAW Group. Key leaders present included Jilin Provincial Party Secretary Bayin Chaolu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor Jing Junhai, Executive Vice Governor Wu Jingping, Provincial Party Committee Secretary General Hu Jiafu, Changchun Municipal Party Secretary Wang Kai, Vice Governors Zhang Zhijun and Cai Dong, Provincial Government Secretary General Wang Zhihao, among other provincial and municipal leaders. Leaders from China FAW such as Chairman and Party Secretary Xu Liuping, Director and General Manager Xi Guohua, Deputy General Manager Wang Guoqiang, Deputy General Manager Qiu Xiandong, and Chief Accountant Quan Huaqing also attended the ceremony. The company's General Manager and Deputy Party Secretary Liu Shixin, Deputy General Manager Yang Yumin, along with 110 employees from the Ninth Academy involved in design and construction, participated in the commencement ceremony alongside major subcontractors and project stakeholders.
The construction of the Hongqi New Energy Vehicle Factory is an important step in realizing China FAW's strategic layout for Hongqi's development. The project covers an area of 750,000 square meters with a building area of 435,000 square meters and a total investment of 7.8 billion RMB. It includes stamping, welding, painting, general production workshops, battery assembly workshops, and related supporting facilities with an annual production capacity of 200,000 vehicles. The main production workshops are planned to achieve warm closure by the end of 2020 and full SOP implementation by the end of 2021. The new energy vehicle factory will produce Hongqi's newly developed excellent new energy vehicles with leading electrification and intelligent networking technology levels in the global automotive industry. This will significantly promote the upward movement of China's independent brands and accelerate China's innovation in the automotive industry. The new factory will add new momentum to China FAW's high-quality development, set a new benchmark for energy-saving and environmental protection concepts, create a new model for intelligent factories in the automotive industry, and inject new vitality into the economic and social development of Jilin Province and Changchun City.
As the general contractor for the project, the Ninth Academy has integrated elite forces and completed tasks such as organizational structure establishment, project scheme design, and project plan deployment. In the valuable 20 months ahead, the Ninth Academy will work closely with government departments and the group's engineering logistics department to safely and efficiently complete project construction. The Ninth Academy bears significant responsibility as the general contractor for the Hongqi New Energy Vehicle Factory project; it is a glorious mission.
