For the technical transformation and logistics expansion project of FAW Car's Hongqi HS5, H5, and EV series models, the Spring Festival shutdown is a key period for large-scale construction. Starting from the twenty-ninth day of the twelfth lunar month, 40 on-site management personnel from the Ninth Institute have dedicated themselves to the front line of the project. The FAW Car Hongqi technical transformation project has a short construction period and heavy tasks. From the shutdown to resuming production, in order to complete the tasks, the on-site management team and various subcontracted service personnel took turns to guard the site, working day and night for 24 hours throughout the Spring Festival.
During the transformation process, coinciding with the nationwide outbreak of COVID-19 in Wuhan, national logistics were interrupted, equipment could not be delivered on time, personnel from other provinces coming to Changchun had to undergo 14 days of quarantine, and subcontracted construction and debugging personnel could not arrive on site as scheduled. The Ninth Institute team did not back down; company leaders, department heads, and project managers led the team to hold emergency meetings to discuss contingency plans. While ensuring that all work prioritized epidemic prevention, they worked hard to catch up on construction progress. Team members voluntarily requested to work overnight, guiding night construction personnel to ensure that project delays were not caused by process equipment. While ensuring work progress, the Ninth Institute team also emphasized advancing epidemic prevention efforts. With a large number of personnel on site and high density, mixed personnel posed significant challenges for epidemic prevention. In this special situation, the Ninth Institute team devised a method called 'hat tags' to facilitate accurate monitoring of subcontractors' temperature conditions by the Ninth Institute's on-site management team, preventing violations such as underreporting or concealment and ensuring smooth epidemic prevention work throughout the construction period.
Through the joint efforts of the Ninth Institute team and close cooperation with the car team, the technical transformation project for Hongqi models at FAW Car has entered its most critical 'sprint phase,' with all tasks proceeding in an orderly manner. The performance of the Ninth Institute has also received unanimous praise from FAW Car. During this crucial period of the project, the Ninth Institute team will remain true to their original aspirations and forge ahead, showcasing the true strength of the Ninth Institute to clients and realizing FAW Group's genuine 'Hongqi Dream.'
