The Spring Festival is a golden period for the Hongqi factory to carry out large-scale production line renovations. In order to ensure that Hongqi's market strategy is implemented on schedule, the staff of the Ninth Institute overcame the pressure brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, gave up time to reunite with their families, and charged forward on the front lines of the project, fully ensuring the timely implementation of the Hongqi series projects.
During the Spring Festival, there are as many as 11 renovation projects for the Hongqi series running at the Ninth Institute. For large general contracting projects such as the technical transformation and logistics construction projects for FAW Car's Hongqi HS5, H5, EV series models, the technical transformation and logistics project for the Hongqi H platform assembly workshop, the transformation of FAW Car's Hongqi E111 model, and the painting workshop project for the Hongqi H platform, the Spring Festival shutdown is a critical period for large-scale construction. Starting from the twenty-ninth day of the twelfth lunar month, more than 90 on-site management and technical personnel from the Ninth Institute led over 600 construction workers from the Ninth Institute's Landi factory and other subcontractors to work overtime at the Hongqi site to catch up on progress. The sudden outbreak of the pandemic at the beginning of the lunar new year posed significant challenges to project implementation.

Due to government and group company policies related to the pandemic, some suppliers had to stop equipment production, materials from other regions could not be transported smoothly, and management personnel and construction workers from partner companies could not arrive on time or needed to be quarantined. Leaders at all levels of the Ninth Institute and project teams coordinated efforts and planned scientifically to eliminate the impact of the pandemic on project progress: using online meetings to ensure multi-party coordination; for technical personnel in quarantine from outside, ensuring effective work through remote pre-commissioning, remote collaboration, and night shifts; using internal emergency mobilization and local recruitment methods to meet on-site management and construction personnel needs; coordinating with FAW Car Company, Hongqi Factory, and Engineering Logistics Department to communicate with government and traffic management departments to open green channels for delivering equipment from other regions; urgently contacting local suppliers for expedited production of equipment that could not be transported or produced in time.

While ensuring progress, the Ninth Institute responded promptly to government and group company requirements by initiating emergency measures against the coronavirus pandemic and urgently procuring emergency supplies for distribution to various sites. On-site management personnel not only carried out project work but also took on protective duties at each site, including checking all personnel's mask-wearing status, recording temperature checks at regular intervals, organizing disinfection in designated areas regularly, and providing daily dynamic forecasts of construction personnel. In addition to specific protective work, project teams also needed to provide psychological counseling and emotional support for the overall construction team to maintain stable project operations.

To ensure a smooth launch of new Hongqi products, the Ninth Institute actively cooperated with FAW Car Company, Hongqi Factory, and Group Engineering Logistics Department, working together with various partners on the front lines of projects. On the road to realizing the Hongqi dream, staff at the Ninth Institute will continue to fulfill their mission and forge ahead.
