The Geely Aisin automatic transmission total package project is one of the important general contracting projects of the Ninth Institute's construction engineering. The project involves a wide range of work and has an extremely tight schedule. Currently, under the severe and complex situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to meet the original conditions for resuming work on February 1, and to ensure the guarding and drainage of unfinished sites, two employees from the Ninth Institute project team are still stationed at the project site.
Since the work stoppage on January 18, the remaining team members have communicated the guarding requirements to workers at various subcontractor sites, organized workers to clean up garbage in living and construction areas, and conducted regular site inspections to prepare drainage work for areas that cannot drain into the municipal pipeline network to meet resumption conditions.
There have also been confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Ningbo Hangzhou Bay New Area where the project is located. Since the outbreak, roads have been closed and cities locked down in the area, with supermarkets and pharmacies facing shortages. In response to this dangerous situation, the project manager has been directing operations remotely, deploying epidemic prevention measures, arranging materials and personnel for resumption of work. Party member employees have taken the lead in epidemic prevention work: establishing WeChat groups for main responsible persons of each unit to actively communicate relevant epidemic prevention information; conducting surveys and compiling statistics on personnel from subcontracted projects and their conditions for resuming work after the holiday, forming a 'Post-holiday Resumption Personnel Information Statistics Table' and updating relevant information in a timely manner; preparing 'Preventing COVID-19 Infection - Disease Prevention Measures for Resuming Workers' and repeatedly studying and refining its content; sorting out material and equipment procurement situations, tracking suppliers' production and logistics information; actively contacting multiple sources for purchasing epidemic prevention materials to ensure smooth resumption of work; distributing masks to duty personnel, daily health status statistics and temperature measurements for duty personnel, reporting in WeChat groups; holding special meetings for duty personnel multiple times, prohibiting them from going out, regularly driving them to nearby supermarkets to buy vegetables, grains, and other daily necessities.
