On January 14, at the FAW-Volkswagen 2020 Supplier Partner Conference, the Ninth Institute was awarded the title of Excellent Partner for 2019 by FAW-Volkswagen for its high-quality equipment general contracting and planning design services. General Manager Liu Shixin represented the Ninth Institute to receive the award. Over nearly thirty years of factory establishment by FAW-Volkswagen, the Ninth Institute has provided site planning and civil construction design services for five locations and six factories of FAW-Volkswagen. In recent years, with the expansion in the field of equipment general contracting, the cooperation between the Ninth Institute and FAW-Volkswagen in equipment general contracting projects has also strengthened, evolving from relatively small projects like workstation bodies and factory lighting to now undertaking entire paint lines and mechanized conveyor lines, with cooperation moving towards a more comprehensive and in-depth direction.
In 2019, the technical transformation project of the final assembly at FAW-Volkswagen's second plant was a key project for FAW-Volkswagen in 2019, holding significant importance for its market strategic development and resource optimization. The project was challenging with a tight schedule, and the Ninth Institute undertook major upgrades for primary interior, secondary interior, skateboard line, PBS line, and door instrument line. The leadership of the Ninth Institute attached great importance to this project, fully mobilizing internal and external resources to ensure its safe and smooth implementation. The project team leveraged the technical and management capabilities of the Ninth Institute, working together with unity and determination to complete construction installation and debugging in 58 days and achieve production ramp-up in 30 days, creating a miracle in the history of automotive final assembly transformation and earning high praise from clients.
