In addition to the brand new process concept, the project team of the Ninth Institute has extensively adopted automation technology in the design of various workstations, giving the new Hongqi H platform assembly workshop an unprecedented sense of technology. Automated robot transportation: The body transfer and connection workstation uses a six-axis heavy-duty robot, which has a reach of 4.2 meters and can carry 1.7 tons, making it the largest industrial robot in China. It is equipped with a visual positioning system and transfer fork arms, offering high precision, adaptability, and reusability, while also solving the problems of limited space and column interference in the workshop.

Fully automatic windshield adhesive assembly
The windshield adhesive assembly system consists of a servo quantitative glue supply system, visual guidance and assembly robots, and an automatic glass conveyor table, enabling automatic glue supply, application, positioning, and assembly. It features a built-in scanning system that can promptly detect and resolve issues such as insufficient or short glue application.
Robot automatic assembly has characteristics such as stable quality and high reliability, while the visual guidance system can significantly improve assembly speed and accuracy.

Modular automatic assembly of chassis
The assembly workstation consists of a conveyor system, positioning trays, a robot tightening system, a visual positioning system, and an electrical control system. The chassis and body are assembled using an automatic process that maximizes the quality of the body and chassis assembly. All tightening points on the floor are automatically tracked and tightened by robots. The two robot workstations at the assembly station can fully support the tightening process for new models while meeting the current model's process requirements. The use of a visual photo positioning guidance system further ensures tightening quality.
The assembly workstation uses a double-layer structure tray to achieve compatibility with two different platform model process requirements for the first time in China, saving space and reducing investment costs.

High-precision tire automatic assembly
The new H platform assembly workshop uses fully automated tire assembly equipment consisting of a five-axis electric tightening machine, material conveyor system, and visual positioning system.
The pneumatic mechanism installed on the fixture allows for automatic switching between two vehicle models with different diameter tires, which is a domestic first; by using an automatic nail feeding device, it achieves automatic delivery and loading of two types of bolts; through visual photo positioning devices, it can accurately identify the status of tightening point positions to guide robots for alignment and tightening; tightening results are instantly uploaded to the tightening system for controllable information and traceable issues.
The tire assembly adopts a forward supply method where suppliers collect production plans and synchronize delivery, allowing tires to be fully automated from entry into the factory to transportation, grabbing, positioning, and tightening, saving time and space costs.

Automatic measurement of body surface gaps
The body surface gap measurement system consists of UR collaborative robots, optical measurement systems, and body positioning systems.
It is a domestic first to combine UR collaborative robots with ISRA (Germany's ISRA) optical detection systems for joint operation, enabling automatic measurement of major external surface gaps and segment differences on vehicles while allowing measurement results to be uploaded, stored, and analyzed.
Compared to traditional industrial robots, UR collaborative robots can work alongside inspectors; they come with built-in mechanical sensors for automatic safe shutdown without needing safety barriers; ISRA's optical detection system uses LED light sources that offer higher precision and better stability than traditional laser detection methods while being harmless to human eyes.
In the future, this system will also connect data with new painting and welding quality inspection equipment to achieve digital closed-loop management of body quality information.

The Ninth Institute uses a brand new process concept that integrates the latest technologies from both domestic and international sources to create a new benchmark for China's intelligent factories with the new Hongqi H platform assembly workshop. This is also another milestone on the path of innovation and surpassing for the Ninth Institute.
At the recently concluded Shanghai Auto Show, Hongqi H7 and HS7 made stunning appearances and received widespread discussion and praise from people across the country. As builders of the Hongqi factory, people from the Ninth Institute feel honored. Carrying the red flag and pursuing independence, people from the Ninth Institute will forge ahead with determination; they will surely use their wisdom and sweat to bring glory to Hongqi and add color to their dreams!
