They listened to the project team’s report on construction and progress, and President Liu Songping provided specific requirements for the next key tasks of the project team. The FAW-Volkswagen Chengdu comprehensive line project is the first self-built project by FAW-Volkswagen and also the first painting line project contracted by the Ninth Institute for FAW-Volkswagen. The construction level demonstrated by this project will directly relate to FAW-Volkswagen's self-construction capabilities and the brand image of the Ninth Institute's total contracting for painting lines. Currently, 80% of the installation work has been completed, with plans to enter the debugging phase in mid-December.
After visiting the project site, President Liu Songping immediately organized a special meeting with the project team to express condolences for their hard work and to address issues from the previous phase with four points of advice. First, there should be unified management of on-site project teams from various departments of the Ninth Institute to highlight overall team synergy; second, strict quality control should be enforced, with rectification suggestions for quality issues found in some embedded plates and workstations; third, further strengthening of project safety management is required, fully utilizing the collaboration between on-site safety personnel from the Ninth Institute and construction units to ensure adequate safety personnel and effective safety management at the site; fourth, environmental management at the construction site should be enhanced, ensuring that waste generated on the same day is cleaned up on that day to maintain a clean and tidy environment. He pointed out that there is just over a month until debugging begins, with a lot of installation work needing coordination; time is tight and tasks are heavy. He hopes all members of the project team will overcome difficulties, collaborate closely, strive for excellence in engineering details while ensuring quality and safety, and aim to complete all preparations before installation debugging by December 15 to add brilliance to FAW-Volkswagen's factory construction.
