The Ninth Academy held a symposium to celebrate the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up, the 65th anniversary of FAW's establishment, and the 60th anniversary of Hongqi's launch of new Hongqi projects.

On August 1, with the successful holding of the launch ceremony for the Hongqi Green Intelligent Town and the delivery ceremony for the new Hongqi L5 customized vehicle, it marked the full completion of the L platform assembly, welding, and external environment renovation projects undertaken by the Ninth Academy. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up and commemorate the 65th anniversary of FAW's establishment and the 60th anniversary of Hongqi's vehicle production, on August 2, the Ninth Academy organized a seminar on the new Hongqi project, attended by over 20 participants including company leaders, leaders from various engineering institutes, and heads of the Hongqi project team. The seminar was hosted by Yang Yumin, deputy general manager of the Ninth Academy.

At the seminar, Deputy General Manager Yang Yumin introduced the overall progress of the new Hongqi project and the completion status of external environment renovation and L assembly workshop projects, as well as outstanding examples of dedication from all project team members. Heads of various sub-projects carefully summarized and analyzed typical experiences, advanced manufacturing technologies, and innovative improvements. The new Hongqi project is the core part of the Changchun Hongqi Town, mainly including overall external environment renovation within the factory area, renovations of multiple workshops such as L assembly workshop, L welding workshop, H assembly workshop, H welding workshop, and advanced manufacturing center, complete renovation upgrades of all office buildings, and construction of new painting workshops and stamping workshops. After receiving the task, the Ninth Academy organized a specialized team led by Deputy General Manager Yang Yumin as the project leader, with department heads and core business backbones serving as project managers and technical leaders to undertake this historical responsibility together with relevant management departments of the group company and Hongqi factory.

To meet the brand image of new Hongqi's Chinese-style new noble refinement and national car model, the Ninth Academy applied the latest international manufacturing technologies. The L assembly workshop adopted an island-style assembly workstation layout, automatic chassis assembly, robotic automatic tightening, and a series of advanced assembly technologies such as fully automated logistics throughout the workshop. The L welding workshop used a discrete island-style process layout combined with automatic guided transport equipment and three-dimensional servo positioning to achieve multi-platform body transmission and flexible production. For the first time in China, green laser detection technology was used to achieve online measurement and improve detection accuracy. The design for H painting adopts a compatible painting process of steel-aluminum and non-metal mixed 3C2B and 3C1B using self-developed equipment by the Ninth Academy that has international advanced levels in rolling immersion, next-generation dry spray painting, and flexible drying technology. During the on-site construction phase, the project team scientifically determined milestone nodes and worked backward to create a three-level plan. Following the principle that 'the back wall does not fall,' effective management methods were employed to collaborate in combat, strive for progress, establish strict quality acceptance standards, and ensure meticulous quality checks. In terms of organizational assurance, a party member attack team was established with several individual projects designated as party flag attack projects in 2018. This effectively leveraged grassroots party organizations' assurance roles and party members' exemplary roles to ensure work implementation. As of now, dozens of seminars have been held, over 30 project inspections conducted, more than 30 people stationed on-site long-term with an average monthly overtime exceeding 100 hours per person; all company project meetings were also held on weekends. With the launch of Hongqi Town on August 1 and the vehicle delivery ceremony for Cao Dewang and Jin Dong's Hongqi L5 customized version held in L assembly workshop, it marked the successful completion of external environment renovation for Hongqi Town and L assembly project undertaken by Ninth Academy. The Ninth Academy has delivered a high-quality answer sheet to Hongqi's revival strategy for new noble refinement.

Liu Shixin, deputy secretary of the party committee and general manager, fully affirmed the phased achievements made by the new Hongqi project. He recognized process management methods such as effective communication, planning formulation, and construction management while also putting forward specific requirements regarding project experience dissemination, investment cost control, and publicity of typical deeds.

Wang Lizhi, secretary of the party committee and chairman, congratulated on achieving phased results in his concluding remarks about the new Hongqi project. He summarized successful experiences during project progress: first is to prioritize urgent needs; team members share information willingly on-site; second is to change work styles among team members to focus on management actively addressing issues; third is to pursue perfection relentlessly; fourth is collective brainstorming for multiple solutions to select optimal ones; fifth is to be bold in innovation by adopting new materials and technologies; sixth is to be courageous in fighting hard while ensuring good integration among team members and relevant parties. He hopes that team members will carry forward Ninth Academy's fine traditions to build the new Hongqi project into a brand project for Ninth Academy contributing to Hongqi's cause with its spirit shining brightly.

This year also marks the 60th anniversary of Ninth Academy's establishment. Ninth Academy shares its founding year with Hongqi; we grow together and develop together—this is a mission bestowed upon us by history. The Ninth Academy will continue to deeply implement Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and adhere to the work guidelines set forth by Group Company focusing on one main line and four major battles while staying true to our original aspirations and keeping our mission firmly in mind. We will resolutely take on responsibilities for building new Hongqi factory while continuously enhancing core capabilities to make new greater contributions to Group Company's strategic development.
