The first qualified vehicle of the painting line project at Geely's Dajiangdong, contracted by the Ninth Institute, has successfully rolled off the production line.

On June 22, the first qualified GE11 vehicle offline ceremony for the Geely Dajiangdong painting project, contracted by our company, was held on-site. Chen Aiguo, General Manager of Geely Dajiangdong Base, Deputy General Manager Ye Leping, and other leaders from Geely ME including Deputy General Li Huacheng attended the ceremony, along with Yang Yumin, Deputy General Manager of the Ninth Institute, Cui Zhaojun, Assistant Dean of the Equipment Engineering Institute, and all members of the Dajiangdong project team. During the celebration, Geely Hangzhou Automobile Company awarded the Ninth Institute the honorary title of Excellent Construction Unit. The smoothness of the first qualified vehicle passing in one go and the quality of the paint film were praised by users as setting a new benchmark for Geely Company.
On November 20, 2016, after intense competition, the Ninth Institute obtained the general contracting contract for the painting line of Geely Dajiangdong Factory with an annual output of 100,000 vehicles. By March 2017, all design work was completed, and on September 2, 2017, the first piece of equipment marked its entry. On October 18, on-site installation work fully commenced. This project has domestically led in utilizing our company's independently developed and manufactured dry spray booth structure for cardboard boxes. It applied leading domestic energy control system technology and adopted a no primer, fully robotic spraying process along with extensive reuse of circulating air and concentrated incineration waste gas treatment technologies. It thoroughly considered vehicle cleanliness protection, ease of environmental cleanup, and simple layout by employing a fully enclosed main line, seamless structure for interior walls, and hidden wiring design. Combined with modular precision and rigorous manufacturing installation, it provided users with a better operational and maintenance experience. This project has reached first-class domestic standards in technology, quality, energy conservation and environmental protection, and intelligent control, becoming a model project for domestic independent brand automobile painting production lines.
From the signing of the contract onwards, all departments of the company attached great importance to this project. All project participants made significant investments in technical and management work. Especially during the project construction period after entering the site, team members faced difficulties without fear; ensuring quality was their primary goal while focusing on safety, progress, and civilized construction. They overcame numerous challenges such as insufficient civil engineering conditions and dense cross-construction. Everyone sacrificed almost all weekends and holidays; once entering the debugging phase, they often worked overtime until midnight. After experiencing 247 days and nights on-site and holding hundreds of construction meetings to solve numerous technical problems, on June 19, 2018, the electrophoresis equipment passed its trial run in one go; all indicators such as film thickness, particles, and appearance met standards. On June 21, the body paint spraying was completed successfully with qualified paint surface quality; thus achieving the offline of the first qualified vehicle smoothly with all indicators particularly satisfying to users. The base highly evaluated the Ninth Institute's performance in this project and praised the smoothness of passing the first qualified vehicle in one go and its paint film quality as setting a new benchmark for Geely Company. Yang Yumin, Deputy General Manager of our company represented the Ninth Institute in cutting the ribbon for the new vehicle offline ceremony and delivered a speech expressing satisfaction with the achievements while thanking Geely Company for their recognition and encouragement. He stated that the Ninth Institute will continue to work hard to strive for early production and mass production to contribute to Geely's development.
