Starting with trust, achieving through action - The second phase project of BorgWarner's transmission system passed acceptance. [Reported by Yu Tao] On February 13, 2018, the second phase project of BorgWarner Transmission Systems Co., Ltd., undertaken by the Ninth Institute, successfully completed its completion acceptance. The Ninth Institute became acquainted with BorgWarner in 2009, and the first phase design work received unanimous recognition from the owner. In January 2017, the second phase project of BorgWarner was launched, and the owner directly entrusted the Ninth Institute to carry out the design. The Ninth Institute responded quickly, immediately forming a design team, and completed the conceptual design and construction drawings in three months. The project broke ground on May 27, 2017, supplied public media on December 1, and installed the first production line on December 7. Within a year, the project completed the entire process from design to approval to construction to completion to being put into use.

The design team of the Ninth Institute adhered to three principles in their design: First, advanced design methods were employed; all reporting plans used three-dimensional models to lock in solutions with the owner at the first opportunity; a three-dimensional review of the first phase project was conducted while simultaneously designing the second phase, effectively avoiding interference between new and old pipelines. Second, quality and efficiency went hand in hand; the design cycle for construction drawings was short and crossed over the Spring Festival holiday, with designers working overtime while ensuring quality was prioritized. Third, the design concept was lean; the second phase design connected with the first phase design, and the design team continuously optimized designs to save investment for the owner.
