Wang Lizhi, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Ninth Institute, led a team to revisit the Qingdao Liberation and Volkswagen project site.

From June 19 to 20, Wang Lizhi, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Ninth Institute, led the main leaders and project team members from the Technical Quality Department, Party Mass Work Department, Architectural Engineering Institute, Manufacturing Technology Institute, and Equipment Engineering Institute to revisit the FAW-Volkswagen Fifth Plant (Qingdao Plant) and the FAW Jiefang Qingqi Jimo Plant.

The FAW Jiefang Qingqi Jimo Plant is a modern factory jointly built by the Ninth Institute and Jiefang Company, and it is also a modern truck model factory that the Ninth Institute has worked hard to create. The Ninth Institute mainly undertakes seven sections: factory design, general contracting for construction project management, cab painting line, chassis painting line, plastic parts painting line, assembly line, and riveting line EPC general contracting. The new factory has applied many new materials, new processes, new equipment, and new technologies. Several R&D achievements of the company, such as U-shaped swing arm technology and direct drying room, have been successfully applied. The project has achieved overall success and has been operating smoothly for more than two years. During the revisit meeting at the Qingqi Jimo Plant, leaders from Qingqi and department heads from the technical department had candid exchanges with the Ninth Institute's revisit team, reaching consensus on many issues. For some new problems discovered during operation and optimization processes, the Ninth Institute and Jiefang Company will work together to improve and enhance them to help the Qingqi Jimo Plant reach new heights.

The FAW-Volkswagen Fifth Plant is a new factory built by FAW-Volkswagen in Qingdao with an annual production capacity of 300,000 series cars. The project is currently under intense construction. The Ninth Institute mainly undertakes factory design and EPC general contracting for modules such as painting and waxing lines. At the revisit meeting for the FAW-Volkswagen Fifth Plant, leaders from the plant and colleagues from the planning department of FAW-Volkswagen first fully affirmed the on-site management ability and execution capability of the project manager from the Ninth Institute. They praised the project manager for effectively coordinating on-site resources, rationally allocating manpower and material resources to expedite progress, ensuring overall timelines; they commended that the mechanical project’s steel structure design directly used 3D design software for intuitive review, making interference clear at a glance, allowing timely changes to avoid numerous interference issues on-site. Subsequently, colleagues from FAW-Volkswagen engaged in face-to-face communication with the Ninth Institute's revisit team and on-site team regarding issues that arose during construction and equipment installation.

During the revisit to the FAW-Volkswagen Fifth Plant, Secretary Wang Lizhi and his team visited the project site to express heartfelt thanks and sincere condolences for the hard work of project team members. The company’s labor union distributed consolation items to representatives of the on-site team. They also witnessed the establishment of a joint temporary party group at the Qingdao Volkswagen project site formed by the Party General Branch of Equipment Engineering Institute, Party General Branch of Architectural Engineering Institute, and Party Branch of Landi Company. At the founding meeting, Secretary Wang Lizhi delivered a vivid party lesson titled 'Four Qualities' to those present on-site. He pointed out the importance of fully recognizing the significance of normalizing and institutionalizing 'Two Studies One Action' learning education; enhancing 'Four Consciousnesses', practicing 'Four Qualities', strengthening 'Four Characteristics', improving 'Four Self' capabilities; implementing 'Three Basics' and achieving 'Three Guarantees'; calling on all party members present to adhere to promoting action through knowledge, being willing to contribute, being courageous in taking responsibility, maintaining a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation at all times in their respective positions to exemplify pioneering roles; leading people with advanced thoughts, encouraging them with solid work, impressing them with good qualities, motivating them with strong styles; being qualified party members who are political-minded, have beliefs; follow rules with discipline; uphold morals with character; contribute with actions.
