The mechanization project of the FAW-Volkswagen Tianjin assembly workshop has successfully commenced.

On April 6th at 9:58 AM, a grand groundbreaking ceremony was held for the mechanized conveying system project in the final assembly workshop of FAW-Volkswagen Tianjin, undertaken by the Equipment Engineering Institute. Attendees included Song Zhiyong, the plant manager of the Volkswagen Tianjin factory, Chen Zhixiong, the project leader from FAW-Volkswagen, and Xie Wei, the deputy director of the Equipment Engineering Institute from the Ninth Academy, among other leaders. At the ceremony, nearly a hundred guests from FAW-Volkswagen, the Ninth Academy, and construction companies witnessed this historic moment together.
At the beginning of the ceremony, project leader Chen Zhixiong first delivered a speech and introduced the basic situation of the project. Then, Plant Manager Song Zhiyong congratulated on the commencement of the project on behalf of the Tianjin Volkswagen factory, looked forward to the future development of the project, and pointed out three major challenges: tight schedule, heavy tasks, and great responsibilities. He expressed hope that construction units like the Ninth Academy would adhere to high standards and strict requirements, organize meticulously, conduct scientific construction, ensure high quality, and complete the construction tasks on time to set another milestone for FAW and even for China's automotive industry.
At the ceremony, Xie Wei, deputy director of the Equipment Engineering Institute from the Ninth Academy, spoke as a representative of the construction company. He stated that as a contractor, they should regard user needs as their own responsibility. They will carry out construction operations based on the principle of safety first, select excellent management and technical personnel to form a team, fully assess and predict potential schedule risks, develop preventive measures to ensure timely delivery of the project. In addition, they will strictly implement relevant national, industry, local standards as well as those of FAW-Volkswagen, enforce full-process quality control by dedicated personnel, establish quality risk prevention and response mechanisms to make this project a fine project, a green project, and a model project.
Finally, with the sound of firecrackers ringing out, three lift vehicles slowly rose up as the construction team from the Ninth Academy skillfully and precisely installed the first beam in the final assembly workshop. Thus, the groundbreaking ceremony concluded successfully!
