On March 29, a handover ceremony for the VOC waste gas treatment system equipment was held at the Tianjin FAW Toyota Ninth Institute's on-site office, marking the successful achievement of another important milestone in the TFTM waste gas treatment renovation project contracted by our institute.
This project is a total equipment contracting project within the Toyota system for our institute, involving three blocks and four workshops. Construction began on July 15, 2016, and the equipment installation and commissioning were completed and put into operation by November 25. The entire project had a short construction period, a wide operational area, and high construction difficulty, with over 85% of the work being at heights above ten meters. Outdoor construction was greatly affected by external environmental factors, making the project timeline very tight due to various factors. The project team refined and updated the construction plan weekly, ultimately achieving all contractual goals. TFTM successfully passed the environmental monitoring for waste gas emissions conducted by the Environmental Protection Bureau. Additionally, the project team withstood the rigorous testing of Toyota's safety management system, fulfilling the commitment of 'zero environmental pollution, zero casualties, and zero accidents,' while also accumulating valuable construction management experience that meets Toyota's system requirements.
The handover ceremony was initiated by the TFTM Coating and Molding Department. Mr. Nishimoto from the Japanese side fully affirmed the Ninth Institute's VOC waste gas treatment project and expressed heartfelt gratitude for completing the project safely, on time, and with high quality. Mr. Tang Jidong, head of TFTM's Safety and Health Department, thanked the Ninth Institute for its full cooperation and technical support during the environmental testing period and highly praised its contributions to ensuring that the project passed inspection smoothly. It was due to the relentless efforts of the Ninth Institute that TFTM avoided production stoppages and related negative social impacts and economic losses. Vice President Cui Zhaojun of the Equipment Engineering Institute stated at the meeting that the Ninth Institute will continue to provide high-quality services to TFTM to ensure that subsequent work is completed smoothly and successfully, laying a good foundation for further cooperation between both parties in the future.
Mr. Nakajima Masahiro, a representative from TFTM Japan, and Zhuangjing Liang, construction manager of the Ninth Institute, signed the equipment handover documents, officially delivering four sets of VOC equipment to TFTM's Coating and Molding Department for use and maintenance.
