[Li Wei reported] After the construction and improvement of the "Three Standards Integration" management system in various departments of the Ninth Institute, on November 7, Beijing Zhongshe Certification Service Co., Ltd. issued the quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management system certification to the Ninth Institute, valid for three years. The acquisition of this certificate reflects the hard work of leaders at all levels and all employees, and is the result of the unity and cooperation of our institute's staff. The successful certification of the "Three Standards Integration" management system marks a new level in the management capabilities of the Ninth Institute.
Starting from January 2011, the work for "Three Standards Integration" management system certification officially commenced. After more than a year, led by the Production Quality Department with active cooperation from various departments, through planning, preparation, implementation, and operation of the quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management systems, our institute underwent an audit from Beijing Zhongshe Certification Service Co., Ltd. for the integrated phase one of these three systems on June 19-20, 2012. The audit mainly focused on the compliance and sufficiency of the management system documents related to environmental and occupational health safety, providing rectification suggestions. After serious rectifications by various departments, a second phase audit was conducted by Beijing Zhongshe Certification Service Co., Ltd. from August 18 to 21, 2012. The audit team concluded that our institute has established a combined management system for quality, environment, and occupational health safety based on GB/T19001-2008, GB/T24001-2004, and GB/T28001-2011 standards, forming necessary management system documents that meet standard requirements. Our product quality is stable and meets customer requirements as well as applicable legal regulations; customers are relatively satisfied with our engineering consulting, engineering design, construction project supervision, general contracting design, procurement, construction installation, commissioning, and service quality. The implementation process of construction project supervision and related management activities has identified and evaluated environmental factors and hazards involved; effective control has been applied to significant environmental factors and hazards identified during evaluation. Product quality and related environmental impacts as well as occupational health safety controls meet customer/related party and legal requirements. Over the past year, no major quality, environmental, or occupational health safety incidents or significant complaints from related parties have been reported. A continuous improvement mechanism has been established and is operational; the integrated management system operates effectively with compliance in using the certification certificate and mark for the quality management system.
