On May 24, a signing ceremony for the framework agreement to jointly establish the "Automotive Intelligent Manufacturing" laboratory between the Ninth Design and Research Institute of Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. and Siasun Robot & Automation Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Siasun") was held in the experimental workshop of the Ninth Institute's northern area. Dong Chunbo, Deputy General Manager of the Group Company, attended the ceremony. Liu Songping, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the Ninth Institute, and Qu Daokui, President of Siasun, signed on behalf of both parties.
Dong Chunbo, Deputy General Manager of the Group Company, stated that Siasun is the cradle of industrial robots in China and a leader in the domestic robot industry, possessing unique advantages in intelligent equipment manufacturing; the Ninth Institute is the cradle of factory design in China's automotive industry and a first-class design research institute specializing in automotive industry and factory planning, design, and construction, with rich experience in factory process planning and application. The signing of the joint laboratory for "Automotive Intelligent Manufacturing" between the Ninth Institute and Siasun marks a new step for China FAW in the wave of intelligent upgrading and transformation under "Made in China 2025", laying a solid foundation for the smooth implementation of China FAW's FAE engineering project. It is hoped that both parties will make full use of global technological resources to continuously and rapidly develop independent and efficient core intelligent equipment, achieve breakthroughs in information management and services, and work together to contribute ideas for the construction and development of automotive factories, making greater contributions to the development of China's independent equipment.
Qu Daokui, President of Siasun, stated that Siasun will fully utilize the opportunity to jointly establish the "Automotive Intelligent Manufacturing" laboratory with the Ninth Institute, actively participate in automotive production and intelligent manufacturing transformation projects proposed by the Ninth Institute, strive to build the joint laboratory into a well-known domestic equipment R&D center with strong technical capabilities that leads industry development and promotes independent innovation. Through the construction of the laboratory, it aims to promote the development of both enterprises, lead the intelligent development in China's automotive manufacturing field, and enhance the level of automotive intelligent manufacturing.
Both parties also visited the Blue D Laboratory pilot plant of the Ninth Institute and conducted in-depth discussions on further cooperation.
