In order to deeply explore and promote the advanced models that emerged from the theme practice activity of 'Improving Quality and Reducing Costs, Showcasing Talents in Positions', and to guide employees to work with goals and learn from examples, leading them to actively engage in central work and showcase their talents in their positions, forming a good atmosphere of competition and learning, and further improving the company's quality and efficiency, on May 13, the Ninth Institute organized the first phase of the star selection activity themed 'Strengthening Quality Awareness, Creating Quality Positions, I Want to Be a Star'. This event received positive responses from various departments, party branches, and general branches. The event implemented a three-level review mechanism at the department, section, and institute levels. After grassroots selection, 13 projects participated in the institute-level review, covering research and development, design production, operations, and management fields. To ensure the fairness and impartiality of the 'I Want to Be a Star' selection activity, a judging panel was specially invited, consisting of Deputy Chief Engineer Ma Rucheng, Deputy Chief Engineer Sun Lianhong, Deputy Chief Process Engineer Yang Chunjie, Deputy Chief Equipment Engineer Liu Biqi, Deputy Chief Construction Engineer Wang Zonglin, Project Operations Control Department Head Zhang Kuiqi, Party and Mass Work Department Chen Jianjun, and Quality Management Group Bao Caihong from the Project Operations Control Department to score on-site and announce results.
Each project presenter focused on their positions and combined project realities to report sequentially on project initiation reasons, current status descriptions, cause analysis, solution measures, effect verification, solidification extension, etc. The judging panel asked questions about key points related to quality improvement and provided guidance on areas that needed further improvement while affirming the successful aspects of the projects. Ultimately, the judging panel selected four 'I Want to Be a Star' excellence awards: 'Process Planning and Construction Drawing Design for FAW-Volkswagen Qingdao No. 5 Plant Assembly Workshop' submitted by the Manufacturing Technology Division; '3D Design Project for Ventilation and Water Spraying in FAW-Volkswagen Q Plant Painting Workshop' submitted by the Building Engineering Division; '3D Design Project for 300,000 Engines at FAW-Volkswagen Qingdao' submitted by the Manufacturing Technology Division; and 'Template Diagram Quality Improvement for FAW-Volkswagen Foshan Phase II Assembly Electric Control Project' submitted by the Equipment Sector. Through this 'I Want to Be a Star' selection activity, it further showcased the dedication of grassroots employees at the Ninth Institute who are committed to their jobs, deeply researching their work while actively engaging in central tasks and showcasing their talents in their positions. It created a good atmosphere for improving quality through competition and learning while implementing and deepening the Ninth Institute's theme practice activity of 'Improving Quality and Increasing Efficiency, Showcasing Talents in Positions', further enhancing employees' quality awareness and effectively promoting central work.
