In order to deeply explore and promote the advanced models that emerged from the theme practice activity of 'Improving Quality and Reducing Costs, Showcasing Talents in Positions', and to guide employees to work with goals and learn from examples, leading them to actively engage in central work and showcase their talents in their positions, forming a good atmosphere of competition and learning, and further improving the company's quality and efficiency, on May 13, the Party and Mass Work Department of the Ninth Institute organized the first phase of the 'I Want to Be a Star' selection activity themed 'Improving Quality and Reducing Costs, Showcasing Talents in Positions'.
This star selection activity received positive responses from various departments, party branches, and general branches. The activity implemented a three-level review mechanism at the section-department-institute level. After grassroots selection, 13 projects participated in the institute-level review, covering research and development, design production, operation, and management fields. To ensure fairness and justice in the 'I Want to Be a Star' selection activity, a judging panel was specially invited, consisting of Deputy Chief Engineer Ma Rucheng, Deputy Chief Engineer Sun Lianhong, Deputy Chief Process Engineer Yang Chunjie, Deputy Chief Equipment Engineer Liu Biqi, Deputy Chief Construction Engineer Wang Zonglin, Project Operation Control Department Head Zhang Kuiqi, Party and Mass Work Department Chen Jianjun, and Project Operation Control Department Quality Management Group Bao Caihong to score on-site and announce results.
Each project presenter focused on their positions and combined project realities to report sequentially from project initiation reasons, current status description, cause analysis, solution measures, effect verification, to solidification extension. The judging panel asked questions about key points related to quality improvement and provided guidance on areas needing improvement while affirming the successful aspects of the projects. After scoring discussions among the judges, four 'I Want to Be a Star' Excellence Awards were finally selected: the 'FAW-Volkswagen Qingdao No. 5 Plant Final Assembly Workshop Process Planning and Construction Drawing Design Project' submitted by the Manufacturing Technology Division; the 'FAW-Volkswagen Q Plant Civil Engineering Public Three-Dimensional Design Project' submitted by the Construction Engineering Division; the 'FAW-Volkswagen Qingdao 300,000 Engine Three-Dimensional Design Project' submitted by the Manufacturing Technology Division; and the 'FAW-Volkswagen Foshan Phase II Final Assembly Electric Control Project' submitted by the Equipment Sector.
Through this 'I Want to Be a Star' selection activity, it further showcased the spirit of dedication, in-depth research, and active engagement in central work among grassroots employees of the Ninth Institute. It created a good atmosphere for competition and learning in improving quality and implemented deepening of the Ninth Institute's theme practice activity of 'Improving Quality and Increasing Efficiency, Showcasing Talents in Positions', further enhancing employees' quality awareness and effectively promoting central work.
