In order to deeply promote the "Two Studies, One Action" learning and education activities of the Ninth Institute, and to excavate and publicize the outstanding Communist Party members and advanced typical deeds that emerged from the theme practice activity of "Improving Quality and Efficiency, Showcasing Excellence in Positions," so that the majority of employees have goals to strive for and role models to learn from, leading and motivating them to actively engage in central work, showcase their talents in their positions, and form a good situation of competition and learning from each other, further enhancing the company's quality and efficiency. On the eve of Labor Day, the Ninth Institute organized a storytelling competition themed "Improving Quality and Efficiency, Showcasing Excellence in Positions."
This competition was organized by the company's Party Committee and Trade Union, receiving active responses from various party branches and general branches. After grassroots selection, 22 outstanding contestants were chosen to participate in the storytelling competition. The protagonists of the stories told are advanced representatives working on the front lines of production, research and development, and management at the Ninth Institute. The contestants participating in the storytelling are all young employees from the front line. With admiration for these advanced figures, they worked overtime with their branch's creative team to prepare for their speeches. To ensure fairness and justice in the competition, a judging panel composed of company leaders, department heads, party branch secretaries, and experts from the group’s publicity department was specially invited to score on-site and announce results.
The contestants took turns to give their speeches according to the order determined by drawing lots. Each contestant was well-prepared, graceful in demeanor, and expressive in voice and emotion, with bursts of warm applause erupting at exciting moments. In the end, Xia Nan from the Party-Mass Work Department told the story of labor model Ma Zhibin from the group company titled "Star of Foshan," which won first prize. Yang Xiaolin from Landi Company told Zhao Yingmiao's story "Zhao Laoda of Landi," Guo Hainan from the Manufacturing Institute told Wei Ming's story "The Hardworking Fire Chief," Yue Hongfu from Landi Company told Zhao Xiurong's story "The Stubborn Iron Lady," and Hao Zhiqiang from the Equipment Institute told the VOC Electric Control Team's story "Pioneering and Advancing, Supporting FAW," all winning second prize. Jiang Wei from the Architecture Institute told Zhu Shi's story "A Simple Idea from a Male God," Shi Mengxi from the Architecture Institute told Zhao Xueqing's story "The Stubborn Household in the Architecture Room," and Li Xiang from the Construction Engineering Company told Wang Dayi's story "Silently Showcasing Talent, Rooted on Site Writing Youth," winning third prize.
Through this storytelling activity, it further showcased the spirit of dedication, professionalism, and selfless contribution among a vast number of grassroots employees at the Ninth Institute, creating a good public opinion atmosphere for deeply carrying out the "Two Studies, One Action" and "Improving Quality while Reducing Costs" theme practice activities.
