[Xiao Yougen Report] On the morning of March 17, 2016, the oath-taking ceremony for the installation of equipment for the FAW-Volkswagen Foshan Phase II assembly project was grandly held, jointly organized by the project management department of the Second Phase Assembly Project of the Ninth Institute and the planning project team of FAW-Volkswagen Foshan Phase II assembly. This marks the official start of the equipment installation project for FAW-Volkswagen Foshan Phase II assembly.
At the oath-taking ceremony, Mr. Wu Lin, project manager of the assembly planning department of Volkswagen, Mr. Zhang Weihua from Volkswagen Foshan Security Department, Mr. Huang Dawei, director of the mechanization room of the Ninth Institute, and Mr. Feng Shikang, representative of the construction unit, took turns to swear an oath and made declarations regarding construction safety, quality, and progress. Director Huang Dawei represented the Ninth Institute to ensure that safety management work would be implemented meticulously to ensure that the project construction proceeds safely and smoothly; that advanced technology would be integrated, careful design services provided, continuous improvement pursued for excellence, and user satisfaction achieved as quality management guidelines to ensure the quality level of equipment installation, laying a solid foundation for building a perfect factory in Foshan. The Ninth Institute will devote itself to project management with full enthusiasm, ample energy, and a positive attitude, aiming to create first-class quality, first-class progress, and first-class standards with first-class quality, first-class service, and first-class technology.
It is reported that the Ninth Institute undertook project management and contracted more than ten sub-items in the Foshan Phase II assembly workshop project, with a total contract amount exceeding 100 million. To ensure the smooth implementation of the Foshan Phase II assembly workshop project, the Ninth Institute has done solid and detailed foundational work. In the early stages of the project, under the leadership of Dean Li Yunsheng from the Equipment Division, project managers and leaders such as Huang Dawei, Zhang Hui, Cao Hui, Zhao Jun, and Zong Xiaotao actively communicated closely with relevant personnel from FAW-Volkswagen to lay a solid foundation for successfully winning the assembly contract. After winning the bid, the design team of the Ninth Institute often worked overtime and voluntarily gave up weekend rest time. Within less than two months, they produced the first version of design drawings that met the owner's requirements for design progress. On February 18, 2016, the skateboard test line successfully operated in the pilot factory of the Ninth Institute, providing strong support for the smooth implementation of interior line skateboards in FAW-Volkswagen Foshan factory's Phase II assembly workshop. Since January 2016, Foshan has entered a period of continuous rainy weather, causing delays in civil engineering works at FAW-Volkswagen Foshan factory's Phase II assembly workshop. The equipment management team from the Ninth Institute represented by Huang Dawei, Cao Hui, Xiao Yougen, Pang Junjian, and Wang Qingyang worked closely with Volkswagen's planning department assembly project team on-site in Foshan multiple times to ensure that the oath-taking ceremony for equipment installation on March 17, 2016 was successfully held.
The holding of the oath-taking ceremony marks the official start of FAW-Volkswagen Foshan Phase II assembly equipment installation project. This follows previous collaborations on Phase I, II, and III of FAW-Volkswagen Chengdu factory's assembly workshop; Audi assembly CA3 workshop in Changchun factory; and Phase I in Foshan factory. It signifies a deeper level of cooperation between the Ninth Institute and Volkswagen's assembly planning department and marks a new chapter in the Ninth Institute's general contracting model.
