[Tong Hao Report] On January 29, the Equipment Division held its second "Biweekly Forum" in the fifth-floor conference room of Building 2 in the South District. This forum focused on the theme of the quality year for the Equipment Division and invited Hu Chenglin, the director of the Non-standard Equipment Engineering Room, to give a speech titled "Understanding and Insights into Toyota's Quality Management Work." The forum was hosted by Xie Wei, a member of the Equipment Division Management Committee.
Director Hu Chenglin provided an in-depth explanation of Toyota's quality system from five aspects: Toyota's work methods, product design, development process, product and process confirmation, quality responsibility implementation, and corrective preventive measures. He summarized the learnings from his three years working at Tianjin FAW Toyota regarding the applicable aspects of Toyota's quality system. Additionally, Director Hu illustrated the excellence and uniqueness of Toyota's corporate culture with rich examples, emphasizing that Toyota's quality system is closely linked to its corporate culture. The more than sixty participants from the Equipment Division generally felt greatly benefited.
This forum created an opportunity for employees of the Equipment Division to deeply learn about Toyota's quality system and appreciate Toyota's culture. In 2015, the Equipment Division has done a lot of work to align its quality management with corporate culture, and it has also found that the overall approach to quality management in the Equipment Division aligns closely with the core concepts of Toyota's quality system. This has built confidence in the quality management of the Equipment Division and created a good start for the quality year.
