[Wang Chengming reports] Just after New Year's Day, the on-site service team of FAW Jiefang Qingdao Automobile Factory sent a project update. After analyzing the last set of data obtained on January 3, there has been a qualitative improvement in the working condition of the rotary wheel in the exhaust gas treatment system of the plastic parts painting workshop. The exhaust gas treatment system can now interface with the workshop's spray booth exhaust system for the next phase of debugging.
The exhaust gas treatment system project in the plastic parts painting workshop of FAW Jiefang Qingdao Automobile Factory employs a treatment method that combines zeolite rotary wheel concentration and high-temperature oxidation pyrolysis in a furnace. This is currently considered advanced technology in the industry. Our institute independently planned, designed, manufactured, installed, and debugged this for the first time. Due to a lack of debugging conditions, the exhaust gas treatment system was left idle for more than six months after installation, requiring deep processing of the concentration rotary wheel to restore it to normal working condition.
On the morning of January 3, 2016, thick fog still lingered over FAW Jiefang Qingdao Automobile Factory, and the white frost frozen on the surface of the metal air ducts had not yet melted. Pan Chenggong and Zhao Lubo from the Equipment Division, who had been continuously stationed on-site, began their day's work on the outdoor exhaust gas treatment equipment platform. To quickly restore the concentration rotary wheel to normal working condition, they took advantage of the owner's production halt during New Year's Day to work on the wheel. This was their seventh consecutive day working in freezing conditions. To expedite progress without affecting workshop production, they debugged the incineration system while production was ongoing and worked on the concentration rotary wheel during breaks. Pan Chenggong, who had just joined the Ninth Institute a year ago, was unafraid of hardship and fatigue. When an abnormal sound occurred in the exhaust fan, he personally disassembled the belt cover and bearing cover to add lubricating grease and adjust the fan belt. When there were faults with dampers, actuators, or limit switches, he climbed up and down with workers, staying out in the cold winter wind for hours until problems were resolved. While handling the rotary wheel, he insisted on recording data every 15 seconds in the cold outdoor air; it took over three hours for three rotary wheels. The working environment inside the rotary wheel was even harsher, filled with harmful gases and dust. Initially lacking effective protective gear, he did not complain once. Similarly dedicated was Zhao Lubo from the electrical control department; to ensure debugging progress, he did not take a single day off from his wedding leave and immediately immersed himself in on-site debugging work right after his wedding ceremony. The project achieved phased results, and they were incredibly excited and proud; as the project continues, they will remain steadfast on-site, pouring their youthful sweat into their work.
