More than 70 people in the equipment sector continue to stay on duty during the New Year to ensure production.

During the New Year's Day period in 2016, the equipment sector had a total of 22 design, bidding, and construction projects entering a critical implementation phase. At a beautiful moment when families gather to celebrate the festival, more than 70 people from the equipment sector voluntarily gave up their holidays to stay at their design desks and project management positions. After three days of intense work during New Year's, they completed the bidding preparation for the Tianjin FAW Toyota VOC treatment project; ensured key design nodes for 12 design tasks including the mechanization of the welding workshop for Great Wall Xushui Phase III, FAW Volkswagen Qingdao wax line, and FAW Volkswagen Foshan Phase II assembly; and ensured the orderly progress of on-site construction work for nine projects in Foshan, Chengdu, Tianjin, Changchun, and other locations.
On the eve of New Year's Day, to ensure the smooth implementation of various key projects, the equipment sector held consecutive management committee meetings and production meetings to detail planning and unified deployment of production tasks during the New Year's holiday. Employees from various departments actively responded, with a total of 88 employees from three major specialties and pilot plants working overtime during the New Year's holiday, and 41 stationed at project construction sites. During the bidding process for the Tianjin FAW Toyota VOC treatment project, Hu Chenglin, director of the non-standard equipment engineering room, and Xu Libin, project leader, led team members to repeatedly study the bidding documents. They overcame high technical difficulties and short preparation time for bidding by working late into the night. Li Yunsheng, chairman of the equipment sector management committee, personally presided over price review work, while Yang Yumin, deputy dean of the Ninth Institute, organized bid pricing control despite being ill. Ultimately, all bidding preparation work was completed by January 3 as planned, with bids submitted in Tianjin on January 4. Additionally, among those continuously working on nine construction projects on-site, many colleagues accumulated over 200 days of business trips throughout the year. They overcame various family difficulties such as not being able to care for elderly parents or spouses and children, dedicating all their energy to work. For instance, Zhao Lubo from the electrical control specialty rushed to the FAW Jiefang Qingdao project site immediately after holding his wedding to engage in electrical control debugging work for the VOC device, demonstrating an inspiring enthusiasm for work.
2016 was the second year of deep integration implementation for the equipment sector of the Ninth Institute and was filled with opportunities and challenges. Under the guidance of the Ninth Institute's "13th Five-Year Plan," all employees in the equipment sector will further accelerate integration, unite as one, forge ahead, and strive hard with confidence and determination to achieve various annual work goals.
