held a training class for the Level 1 Registered Architect Examination in Architectural Structures recently, to help candidates correctly understand the examination syllabus and textbooks, considering the heavy production tasks and insufficient study time of the participants. The training class was organized by Ma Chengyu from the Electrical Room, with lectures by Chen Chao and Liu Yang from the Structural Room. Following the approach of 'focusing on fundamentals, emphasizing key points, and discussing essence', it aimed to accurately help everyone grasp the core content of the exam. The training started in March and was divided into four sessions, lasting nearly a month. The first session covered theoretical mechanics, focusing on force analysis of objects, basic knowledge of force system simplification, and simple static analysis; the second session was about material mechanics, mainly detailing basic concepts, theories, methods, and applications of material mechanics; the third session focused on structural mechanics, teaching how to proficiently judge structural types and qualitatively analyze statically determinate and indeterminate structures; the fourth session was on structural design, helping to understand the normative requirements for masonry, concrete, steel, and wooden structures, as well as mastering basic knowledge of seismic design and foundation design.
Currently, the training work has been completed and has received unanimous praise from both the branch leaders and participants. Next, the Youth League Branch of the School of Civil Engineering will further summarize the experience from this training and continue to hold foundational training courses for other professional registration examinations as well as basic training for 3D software, hoping that colleagues will gain something useful that can be applied in their work.
