The Qingdao Jimo factory project, planned, designed, and constructed by the Ninth Design and Research Institute of Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. (Machinery Ninth Institute), is a key construction project of FAW during the 12th Five-Year Plan. The project covers a total area of 1.15 million square meters, with a total building area of 280,000 square meters in the first phase. Once completed, it will have an annual production capacity of 100,000 trucks (including chassis). The Ninth Institute is responsible for the factory planning, design, construction project management, cab painting, assembly, riveting and welding, and plastic parts painting production line general contracting tasks.
To ensure the smooth implementation of the project and fire safety production after commissioning, the Ninth Institute carefully designed and created a fire protection design model project. A design team composed of fire protection experts was established to participate throughout the entire process of project scheme formulation, feasibility study design, preliminary design, and construction design, ensuring strict quality control at every level. During the implementation of the project, they humbly sought advice and actively communicated with local fire departments, promptly reflecting the opinions and regulatory requirements of the fire department into the construction design, creating conditions for successfully passing the final fire acceptance.
In August this year, the Qingdao Public Security Fire Brigade conducted a final acceptance inspection of the project together with Qingqi Company and various participating units including design, construction, supervision, and testing. After reviewing materials, inspecting the completeness of fire equipment and materials on site, and testing the main functional capabilities of the fire system, it was determined that the fire system of Qingqi Company's Jimo factory project meets national fire technical standards and achieves design and usage effectiveness, passing acceptance. This successful acceptance of the fire engineering lays a solid foundation for the overall completion acceptance of the next phase of the project.
