Chang'an Thailand Project
Changan Automobile's production base in Thailand is located in Rayong Province, covering an area of 390,000 square meters, with a building area of approximately 147,800 square meters. It includes welding workshops, assembly workshops, painting workshops, engine workshops, and various public power and production auxiliary facilities. This project is another EPC general contracting project undertaken by the Ninth Institute of Machinery in the Southeast Asian market and is Changan Automobile's first overseas production base. The factory mainly produces pure electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles.
The first phase has a comprehensive production capacity of 100,000 vehicles per year (25 JPH), with plans to start production in early 2025. This project is also a practitioner of Changan's promotion of high-quality co-construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative. Currently, the project has been fully implemented; the B+U engineering has completed the foundation construction of all buildings, and the steel structures for welding, assembly, and painting have been fully hoisted. The factory's road and pipeline network is also being implemented simultaneously. The design drawings for the M+E engineering have all been completed, and the prefabrication work for production line equipment has been fully launched. In early April 2023, the first batch of goods began to be shipped, marking the start of the installation work for process equipment.
