■ Construction Content: This project is located in the eastern new district of Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The factory area is divided into two plots, with a total planned land area of 51.1632 hectares (approximately 767.44 acres) and a total building area of 509,358.71 square meters. The main construction content includes workshops for #1/#2 electrodes and assembly, module Pack workshop, formation workshop, electrode workshop, machining workshop, physical and chemical performance testing laboratory, warehouses #1 to #3, hazardous waste storage, recycling packaging storage, electrolyte warehouse, comprehensive station buildings #1/#2, fire pump room, NMP pump room and tank area, canteen, comprehensive building, shift dormitory, and a 220kV substation.
■ Project Schedule: Production to commence in December 2024.
■ Project Design Concept
This project is a power battery manufacturing base dedicated to creating a highly competitive battery manufacturing factory based on the principle of 'benchmarking against domestic and international lithium-ion battery leading enterprises.'
The design follows the core concept of 'developing a superior lithium-ion battery production process that combines the characteristics of Great Wall Company.'
■ Project Features
This project is the second cell factory design project for our institute. The design team has accumulated experience compared to previous projects, but there are still many challenges to address under different process requirements.
The project has a large construction scale and high investment intensity, encompassing the planning and design of all major production processes for lithium-ion power battery production. Some workshops employ new processes that are pioneering in the country.
The cell factory has high environmental requirements, many process partitions, rapid product iteration speed, and significant design difficulty.
Strictly control investment scale while ensuring economic viability, practicality, reliability, and maturity. Follow the principles of automation and minimal personnel use by selecting high-quality and flexible equipment to meet manufacturing precision, variety changes, and improve labor productivity requirements to enhance equipment utilization.
While ensuring product quality, prioritize the selection of advanced mature high-quality, efficient, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly equipment from well-known domestic manufacturers to reduce construction costs.
